Based out of Rockford, Illinois, the McDonalds — David, Jessica, Jordan and Nathan — have been writing and performing together since 2002. They’ve released three full-length albums, one EP, and three singles. Their albums 22 Blackbirds (2008) and Live Life Slow (2012) earned them Rockford Area Music Industry awards for Composer of the Year, and their 2016 album, Grain of the Sky, earned them Album of the Year. “Starlite Radio has the gift that many bands dream of having: exceptional songwriting skills that encompass beautiful harmonic arrangements and the musical ability to make their songs come alive on stage. The band melds a wonderful mix of Americana — folk rock with a down home feel. This talent has won them two Rockford Area Music Industry (RAMI) awards for Best Composer and one for Album of the Year. If you haven’t had the chance to listen to Starlite Radio, you should … right now.”
